View the status of the PRP network

The Parallel Redundancy Protocol (PRP) requires two separate physical networks to operate. These networks are known as LAN A and LAN B.
The Stratix 5400 and 5410 switches have designated ports for PRP channel groups. A PRP channel group is a logical interface that aggregates two Gigabit Ethernet physical ports into a single link. In the channel group, the lower numbered Gigabit Ethernet member port is the primary port that connects to LAN A. The higher numbered port is the secondary port that connects to LAN B.
Use the
Parallel Redundancy Protocol
and
Channel Group X
views to view the PRP member ports and to monitor the health status of each LAN on PRP network.
TIP:
The PRP channel groups and diagnostic information is only available when the application is online and Link Redundancy Entity is enabled.
To view the status of the Parallel Redundancy Protocol network
  1. On the tab for the device, select
    Parallel Redundancy Protocol
to view the status of the member ports for the Stratix switches.
    TIP:
    Only
    Channel Group 1
settings are available for the Stratix 5400. Both
    Channel Group 1
    and
    Channel Group 2
settings are available for the Stratix 5410.
  2. In the view navigation, expand
    Parallel Redundancy Protocol
    , and then select
    Channel Group 1
to view statistics of the LANs in the Channel 1 group.
    TIP:
For the Stratix 5410 switch, select
    Channel Group 2
to view statistics of the LANs in the Channel 2 group.
