DHCP Pools view parameters

The
DHCP Pools
view includes these parameters:
Parameter
Description
Enable Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
Indicates whether the DHCP pool is enabled or disabled.
The values are obtained from the switch and displayed only when the DHCP is enabled.
Enable DHCP Snooping
Indicates whether Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) snooping is enabled or disabled.
add-pool
Opens the
Add/Edit DHCP Pool
dialog box to create a new DHCP pool.
edit-pool
Opens the
Add/Edit DHCP Pool
dialog box to edit the DHCP pool properties.
delete-pool
Deletes the currently selected DHCP pool row. All persistent addresses associated with the selected DHCP pool are deleted as well.
Name
Specifies the name of the DHCP IP address pool configured on the switch. A DHCP IP address pool is a range (or pool) of available IP addresses that the switch can assign to connected devices.
Starting IP Address
Displays the starting IP address that defines the range of addresses in the DHCP IP address pool.
Ending IP Address
Displays the ending IP address that defines the range of addresses in the DHCP IP address pool.
Preassigned Addresses Only
Indicates whether the IP address is preassigned for the selected port and is not available for normal DHCP dynamic assignment. The IP address must be an address from the pool specified in the
DHCP Address Assignment
view in the DHCP Pool field.
DHCP Snooping
Indicates whether broadcast of DHCP requests are restricted beyond the connected switch or not. If enabled, devices only receive address assignments from the connected switch.
This option is available on VLAN interfaces.
Refresh
Retrieves and displays the latest values from the device.
Set
Sends the settings to the switch. The
Enter password
dialog box may appear.
