Fault/Program Action view parameters

The
Fault/Program Action
view includes these parameters:
Parameter
Description
Port
The port selected for configuration. The port number includes the port type (Fa for Fast Ethernet, Gi for Gigabit Ethernet, or Te for Ten Gigabit), the base or expansion device number (1 for the base, 2 for the first expansion device, or 3 for the second expansion device), and the specific port number. For example:
  • Gi1/1 is Gigabit Ethernet port 1 on the base.
  • Gi1/2 is Gigabit Ethernet port 2 on the base.
  • Fa1/1 is Fast Ethernet port 1 on the base.
  • Fa2/1 is Fast Ethernet port 1 on the first expansion device.
The base and expansion device number is only applicable for Stratix 8000/8300 switches.
Port State During
Program Mode
When the controller transitions to Program Mode, specifies what happens at each port. Available values are:
  • Hold Last State
(default) - The associated port maintains the current state.
  • Disable
    - The associated port is disabled.
  • Enable
    - The associated port is enabled.
IMPORTANT
: Setting a port to
Disable
can interrupt communication to and from the switch.
Port State During
Fault Mode
When communication is lost between the controller and the switch, specifies what happens at each port. Available values are:
  • Hold Last State
(default) - The associated port maintains the current state.
  • Disable
    - The associated port is disabled.
  • Enable
    - The associated port is enabled.
IMPORTANT
: Setting a port to
Disable
can interrupt communication to and from the switch.
