Associate VLANs view

Use this view to manage virtual local area networks (VLANs) for the Network Address Translation (NAT) instances. A VLAN enables you to:
  • Group users and enforce privileges and restrictions to different user types.
  • Isolate different types of traffic to preserve the quality of the transmission.
  • Minimize excess traffic among the logical segments.
You can also use VLANs to isolate different types of users and reduce administrative effort that is required to constantly examine requests to network resources.
TIP:
Create VLANs before you open the wizard. Each NAT port must be associated with a VLAN. VLANs can be used for multiple ports. A popup message indicates when a VLAN has not been selected.
In the
Associate VLANs
view, you can assign VLANs to a port.
TIP:
The parameters in this view are available while online.
