NTP Client view parameters

The
NTP Client
view includes these parameters.
Parameter
Description
Network Time Protocol (NTP) Enabled
When the switch is online, this value shows whether NTP is enabled on the switch. When the switch is offline, this value is blank.
If the value shows
Yes
, the other parameters in the
NTP Client
view show values or are enabled.
If the value shows
No
or blank, the other parameters in the
NTP Client
view show blank values or are disabled.
System Poll Interval
Shows the system poll interval. The value is 8-12700 seconds.
Synchronized
Shows whether the switch clock is synchronized.
Current Time
Shows the current time on the switch.
NTP Servers
add-pool
Opens the
Add NTP Server
dialog box.
delete-pool
Select to delete the selected NTP server address.
NTP Server Address
Shows the NTP server addresses.
Preferred Server
Specifies whether the NTP server is preferred and provides the synchronization.
The available values are:
  • Yes
  • No
NTP Status
Shows the NTP status of the NTP servers. The available values are:
  • Peer
    - Shows the current time source.
  • Candidate
    - Shows Peer is included in the final set.
  • Selected
    - Shows the time source is selected but is not part of the final set. Distance exceeds the maximum value.
  • Outlier
    - Shows the time source is discarded by the cluster algorithm.
  • False Ticker
    - Shows the time source has a false ticker.
  • Configured
    - Shows the time source is statically configured.
Stratum of Clock
Shows the stratum of clock, which indicates how many NTP hops away a device is from an authoritative time source. The value is from 0 through 16.
Time Since Last Update
Shows the time since last update in seconds.
Refresh
Retrieves and displays the latest values from the device.
Set
Sends the settings to the switch. The
Enter password
dialog box may appear.
