Time Sync Configuration view parameters

The
Time Sync Configuration
view includes these parameters.
TIP: The available parameters vary based on the selected Clock Type.
Parameter
Description
Clock Type
Indicates the clock type selected for configuration. Depending on the selection, the additional parameters available for configuration vary. Available values:
  • Boundary
  • End-to-End Transparent
  • Forward
  • NTP-PTP
Clock Identity
Displays a value read from the switch and used to identify the clock.
Grandmaster Selection Priority 1
Indicates the primary relative priority of the grandmaster clock to other clocks in the system. Available values are 0 through 255. The highest priority is zero (0).
Grandmaster Selection Priority 2
Indicates the secondary relative priority of the grandmaster clock to other clocks in the system. Available values are 0 through 255. The highest priority is zero (0).
Offset from Master
Displays the offset value between the local clock and the master clock.
Port
Displays the port selected for configuration. The port number includes the port type (Fa for Fast Ethernet or Gi for Gigabit Ethernet), the base or expansion module number (1 for the base, 2 for the first expansion module, or 3 for the second expansion module), and the specific port number.
For example:
  • Gi1/1 is Gigabit Ethernet port 1 on the base.
  • Gi1/2 is Gigabit Ethernet port 2 on the base.
  • Fa1/1 is Fast Ethernet port 1 on the base.
  • Fa2/1 is Fast Ethernet port 1 on the first expansion module.
Enable Time Sync
Indicates that the configuration of the port on the device is enabled. If cleared, the port configuration is disabled.
Time Sync State
Displays the current state of the Time Synchronization port on the device. Available values:
  • Initializing
  • Faulty
  • Disabled
  • Listening
  • Pre_Master
  • Master
  • Forward
    - When the Ethernet Driver is online and Time Sync is disabled, the base unit ports are in forward mode.
  • Uncalibrated
  • Slave
Delay Request
Determines the time interval recommended to connected devices to send delay request messages when the switch port is in the master state. Available values are -1 through 6. The default is
5
(32 seconds).
Announce Timeout
Determines the number of announce intervals that must pass without receipt of an announce message from the parent or grand master clock before the switch selects a new parent or grand master clock. Available values are 2 through 10. The default is
3
.
Announce Interval
Determines the length of an announce interval. Available values are 0 through 4. The default is
1
.
Sync Interval
Determines the length of a synchronization interval. Available values are -1 through 1. The default is
0
.
Sync Fault Limit
Determines the number of faults for the synchronization limit. Available values are 50 through 500,000,000. The default is
500,000,000
.
Refresh
Retrieves and displays the latest values from the device.
Set
Sends the settings to the switch. The
Enter password
dialog box may appear.
