Ch0x view parameters - 5094-IY8(XT)
The
Ch0x
view includes these parameters:Parameter | Description |
---|---|
Disable Channel | Determines whether the channel is disabled. Disable channels to prevent erroneous fault reporting, such as no load or open wire faults, and to prevent the FLT LED for that channel from illuminating. |
Input Type | Sets the input type for the channel. Available options are:
|
Wiring | Sets the wiring configuration for the channel if the Input Type is Current or RTD. Available options are:Input Type as Current (mA):
Input Type as RTD:
|
Sensor Type | Sets the sensor type for the channel if the Input Type is RTD or Thermocouple. |
Input Range | Sets the input range for the input type. Ranges vary according to the selected Input Type . Input range values are as follows:Input Type set to Voltage (V):
Input Type set to Current (mA):
Input Type set to RTD:
Input Type set to Thermocouple:
When Input Type is set to RTD and the Sensor Type is ohms , determines an input range. For maximum resolution, choose the range that most closely accommodates the anticipated maximum resistance value. When Input Type is set to RTD and the Sensor Type is not ohms , shows the resistance range used by the device for optimal performance based on the selected RTD type. These ranges are read only and cannot be changed. |
Temperature Units | Sets the temperature unit when the Sensor Type is not set to ohms (for RTD) and not set to mV (for Thermocouple). |
10 ohms Copper Offset | For an RTD input type with Sensor Type set to 10 ohms CU 427 , sets an offset value that is within the range from -1.00 through 1.00 ohm. This value can compensate for any Copper RTD errors and is added to the input reading before linearization. |
Cold Junction Compensation | Shows whether the channel is using the internal sensor or a remote termination for compensation, or compensation is disabled. If the channel is being used as a remote termination for another channel, a message is shown instead. Applies only when the Input Type is set to RTD or Thermocouple. |
Remote CJ Ch | Sets the channel as remote termination. When selected, InputSSVSwitchEN is disabled. |
Enable Input SSV Switch | Select when using 2-wire current transmitter that is powered from Sensor Source Voltage (SSV). This shorts the analog input channel and analog common ground to avoid the need to install an additional jumper wire on the terminal. |
Engineering Units | Sets the unit of measure used for the channel. |
High Signal | Sets one of the four constants in the scaling equation. High Signal is in terms of the input signal units and corresponds to High Engineering when scaled.High Signal must be greater than Low Signal . |
High Engineering | Sets one of the four constants in the scaling equation. High Engineering corresponds to High Signal and helps determine the engineering units that the signal values scale into. |
Low Signal | Sets one of the four constants in the scaling equation. Low Signal is in terms of the input signal units and corresponds to Low Engineering when scaled. |
Low Engineering | Sets one of the four constants in the scaling equation. Low Engineering corresponds to Low Signal and helps determine the engineering units that the signal values scale into. |
Notch Filter | Sets the notch filter value, which attenuates the input signal at the specified frequency. Notch filter is based on what noise frequencies are present in the device’s operating environment versus any speed requirements needed for control. |
Digital Filter | Sets the time constant for a first order lag filter used to smooth noise transients on the input with a range from 0 through 32767. When set to 0, no filtering takes place. |
Enable Open Wire Detection | Enables the detection of disconnected wiring from the signal source to the RTB or the RTB to the device. |
Diagnostics | Opens the diagnostics dialog box to view the diagnostics information for the channel. |
