Component Class
Summary Tab
The component class displays summary and failure history tabs. The summary section displays the master data of component classes that includes component class name, description, and type along with class types, operating regimes, degradation model, and expected life in months. The Failure History records the log of the failure.
NOTE:
For a component class, minimum of one class types and regimes to maximum of nine is displayed in the table.
Component class is classified into User Defined (Defined manually by a user) and Pre-defined (Auto populated).
NOTE:
The user cannot add or delete the pre-defined Component Class, but the user can modify the component class as per user defined component class.
Add Component Class
- On the left navigation menu, drop-down theConfigurationmenu and clickClass Setup.The Asset Class tab is displayed.
- Click theComponent Classtab, clickAdd.
- In theClass Definitiontab, set these parameters:
- Class Name: Provide the Class Name details.
- Class Description: Provide a description for the class.
- ClickNext.
- In theClass Typestab, provide the class type name for the index type.
- (Optional) If the user wants to add more class type, click the [+] icon and new row is added and repeat the previous step.NOTE:To delete the configured class type, click the [] icon. To edit the configured regime name, clickBackand provide the class name.The user can add a minimum of one to a maximum of nine class types.
- ClickNext.
- In theOperating Regimestab, provide the regime name for the regime type.
- (Optional) If the user wants to add more regime, click the [+] icon and new row is added and repeat the previous step.NOTE:To delete the configuredType Name, click the [] icon. To edit the configured regime name, clickBackand provide the type name.The user can add a minimum of one to a maximum of nine regimes.
- ClickNext.NOTE:To delete the configuredRegime Name, click the [] icon. To edit the configured regime name, clickBackand provide the regime name.The user can add a minimum of one to a maximum of nine regimes.
- In theConfigure Component Classtab, set these parameters:
- Class Types: Select the required Class Types from the drop-down list.
- Operating Regimes: Select the required Operating Regimes from the drop-down list.
- Degradation Model: Select the required Degradation Model from the drop-down list.
- Expected Life: Provide an expected life in months.
- To delete the configured component class, click the [] icon. To edit the configured component class, click theEditicon.
- ClickAdd.The “Component Class was added successfully” message is displayed.NOTE:Validation points from Development team to be added forConfigure Component Class.
Edit Component Class
- On the left navigation menu, drop-down theConfigurationmenu and clickClass Setup.The Asset Class tab is displayed.
- Click theComponent Classtab.
- In theComponent Classtab, select the required Component Class checkbox and clickEdit.
- Edit the required fields from theClass Definition,Class Types,Operating Regime, andConfigure Component Classtabs.
- ClickSave.NOTE:It is applicable only for User defined Asset Class.The “Component Class was updated successfully” message is displayed.
View Component Class
- On the left navigation menu, drop-down theConfigurationmenu and clickClass Setup.The Asset Class tab is displayed.
- Click theComponent Classtab.
- In theComponent Classtab, click the required Component Class Name to view the required details.
Delete Component Class
- On the left navigation menu, drop-down theConfigurationmenu and clickClass Setup.The Asset Class tab is displayed.
- Click theComponent Classtab.
- In theComponent Classtab, select the required Component Class checkbox and clickDelete.
- In theDelete Component Classdialog box, clickDelete.The “Component Class was deleted successfully” message is displayed.
Delete Restrictions
- Deletion of created Custom Class is allowed only if the following criteria are met:
- User must have Delete permission for “Component Class”- Delete button will be disabled.
- Component Class is not Linked to any Component (except Obsolete state).
- Component Class is not Linked to any Asset Class Template.
- All Failure History related to Component Class is deleted.
- If the above criteria are not met, then theDeletebutton is disabled.
Failure History
The failure history tab displays the list of component class names along with class types, operating regimes, initial health score, time take to failure, and components failed with selected criteria.
Add Failure History
Perform the following the steps to add new failure history:
- On the left navigation menu, drop-down theConfigurationmenu and clickClass Setup.TheAsset Classtab is displayed.
- Click theComponent Classtab.
- Click theFailure Historytab and clickAdd.
- In theConfigure Failure Historytab, set these parameters:
- Component Class Name: Select the required Component Class Name from the drop-down list.
- Component Class Type: Select the required Component Class Type from the drop-down list.
- Operational Regimes: Select the required Operational Regimes from the drop-down list.
- Initial Health Score: Provide the Initial Health Score in %.
- Time Take to Failure: Provide the Time Take to Failure in months.
- Components failed with selected criteria: Provide a number of Components failed with selected criteria.
- ClickAdd.The “Failure history was added successfully” message is displayed.NOTE:If the user creating new component class, then new row is added in the Failure History table. If the user is adding existing component class with new class type and regime, then it is added to the existing component class row.
Failure History Table
- The Type and Regime configuration in the Failure History Configuration should compulsorily have the corresponding Type and Regime combination in the Component Class Configuration.
- The Failure history table must have at least two entries for every (Type, Regime) combination that has been mentioned in Component Class Configuration.
- The Type and Regime combination at the component level configuration must have the Type-Regime combination, which has at least two entries in the Failure History Table.
Edit Failure History
Perform the following steps to edit the failure history:
- Select the required Class Type checkbox and clickEdit.
- In theEdit Failure Historydialog, edit the required fields.
- ClickSave.The “Failure history was updated successfully” message is displayed.
Delete Failure History
Perform the following steps to edit the failure history:
- Select the requiredClass Typecheckbox and clickDelete.
- In theDelete Failure Historydialog box, clickDelete.The “Failure history was deleted successfully” message is displayed.
