A computer is consuming too many of the activations on the server

Possible cause and solution:
  • By default, capacity activations are granted on a first come first served basis.
    If one computer is requesting an excessive number of activations, edit the Options file to set a MAX number of licenses for that host computer by adding a line in the following syntax:
    MAX [count] [featurekey] HOST [name]
    For example, if you wanted to keep the computer "SharedOps" from obtaining more than three activations for
    RSLinx
     you would use the following line:
    MAX 3 RSLINX.EXE HOST SharedOps
