Cannot borrow an activation
Possible cause and solution:
- SomeRockwell Automationproducts do not support borrowed activations.Verify that the product supports borrowing. See the product documentation for details.
- The activation location is not defined.Define the activation location using the following steps.
- From theBorrow Activationspage, clickI Don't See My Activation here. TheFind Available Activationspage opens.
- ClickUpdate Activation Search Path.
- ClickAdd Server.
- Click theBrowsebutton to navigate to and select the server and clickOK.
- Select the checkbox next to the server, and clickSave.
- Under theAvailable activationslist clickRefresh Activations.
- ClickBorrow Activationsand try to borrow the activation.
- The borrow term is incorrect.At theBorrow Activationspage, select the activation and clickSet Borrow Termand select a valid borrow term.
- TheOptionsfile settings prevent borrowing.ClickAdvanced > File Access, and clickEdit Options Fileto check if the EXCLUDE_BORROW or BORROW_LOWWATER keywords are configured to deny an activation from being borrowed.
