 is a suite of applications. These applications can share common components for Java, PostgreSQL and FTA Security. Therefore, these components may be installed one time and shared amongst these applications. For each specific application, refer to the Advanced Installation guide for specific configurations.
  • It is recommended to use Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) for all configurations.
  • It is recommended to configure the domain name in the hosts file for a non-domain environment.
    The default hosts file directory:
    C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
    IMPORTANT:
    If the user wants to install FTASecurity and DataView on the same machine, then in order to protect the log files, it is strongly recommended to use a different non-root user account for installing FTASecurity and DataView. This ensures security and that no sensitive information is exposed to external components beyond trust boundaries.
    NOTE:
    Ensure that the user account used for installing DataView has administrator privileges.
