Install OpenSSL

OpenSSL is used to generate all the keys used for the CA and for the signed certificates. The user should have a recent version installed. The more recent versions will have the latest bug and security vulnerability patches. OpenSSL version 1.1.1 is the current stable and Long Term Support (LTS) version.

For Windows there are a number of distributions available. The distribution available from Shining Light Productions is recommended as it tends to be well maintained.
