Import Users

  1. Ensure that the following services are running:
    1. PostgreSQL
    2. FTA Security
    3. Elasticsearch
    4. FTAnalyticsDataImporter
    5. FTAnalyticsDataView
    6. FactoryTalk Activation Helper
    7. FactoryTalk Activation Service
    8. FactoryTalk Activation Websocket Service
  2. In the new browser window, go to the DataView application using the DataView URL: https://<FQDN-hostname>/dataview

  3. Login as a DataView Admin User.

  4. Navigate to the Manage Users menu. Select [Import Users].
  5. In the Import Users dialog, the user should see a list of Users that have not been imported into DataView. This list should include the DataView User created in the previous section.
  6. Under Select User column select the User to import (for example: user2).
  7. Select [Design User] from the Select Role drop-down list.

  8. Click [Import].

    The “
    User imported successfully
    ” message displays.
  9. Navigate to the [MANAGE USERS] tab.
  10. The newly imported DataView User will display.

  11. After the success message, the DataView User can now access the DataView application.
  12. Use the following URL to log in to the application: https://<FQDN-hostname>/dataview.
