Install OpenSSL

OpenSSL is used to generate all of the keys used for the CA and for the signed certificates. User should have a recent version installed. The more recent versions will have the latest bug and security vulnerability patches. OpenSSL version 1.1.1 is the current stable and Long Term Support (LTS) version.
Most Linux systems have OpenSSL installed by default. On RHEL/CentOS systems it can be installed using yum if necessary:
For CentOS and RHEL:
$ sudo yum install openssl
For SUSE:
$ sudo zypper install openssl
