Configure Batch clients on Windows XP

If a
FactoryTalk Batch
 client is running on Windows XP Professional SP3 and connecting to a remote
FactoryTalk Batch
 Server, you must change the
Local Security Policy
 on the client computer. To allow the
FactoryTalk Batch
 View to connect to a remote
FactoryTalk Batch
 Server complete to the following steps.
  1. Point to
    Control Panel
     >
    Administrative Tools.
     Click
    Local Security Policy
    . The
    Local Security Settings
    window opens.
  2. Expand
    Local Policies
    , and then click
    Security Options.
  3. Locate and double-click
    Network access: Sharing and security model for local accounts
    . The
    Network access: Sharing and security model for local accounts
     dialog box opens.
  4. Select
    Classic - local users authenticate as themselves
     from the list.
  5. Click
    OK
     to close the dialog box.
