forcestat(x,status)

Takes as input a variable of any type and a character string that contains the name of a status (Blank, Break, Cut, Error, OK), and changes the variable to have the specified status. Unlike the $changestat transform, $forcestat can be combined with $if to change statuses on a conditional basis.
