Enable accelerated software rendering

If you run
FactoryTalk Optix Studio
 or
FactoryTalk Optix Applications
 inside a
VMware®
 hypervisor, you can enable accelerated software rendering of graphics and video.
IMPORTANT: Enabling accelerated software rendering may negatively impact compatibility.
  2. On the system that runs hypervisor, in the
    VMware
     , on the
    Hardware
     tab, select
    Accelerate 3D graphics
    .
  3. On the virtualized Windows system, select
    Start
    , search for and open
    View advanced system settings
    .
  4. In
    System Properties
    , on the
    Advanced
     tab, select
    Environment Variables
    .
  5. In
    Environment Variables
    , under
    System variables
    , set
    QT_OPENGL
     to
    angle
    .
  6. In
    Environment Variables
    , select
    OK
    .
  7. In
    System Properties
    , under
    Performance
    , select
    Settings
    .
  8. In
    Performance Options
    , select
    Custom
     and clear
    Show shadows under windows
    .
  9. In
    Performance Options
    , select
    OK
    .
  10. In
    System Properties
    , select
    OK
    .
