Assign a role to a user or group

Assign roles to users and groups to create a hierarchy roles with assigned rights and privileges.
  1. In the main toolbar, select
    Open dashboard page
    and then select
    Manage users and groups
    .
  2. On the dashboard page, either:
    • Under
      Roles,
      drag a group onto a user under
      Users
      or onto a group under
      Groups
      . You can also drag a user or group onto a role. Hold down
      Shift
      or
      Ctrl
      to select and drag consecutive or multiple selections.
    • Select one or more roles, select
      Assign
      roles to users or groups
      , select the users and groups, and then select
      Apply
      .
  3. Select
    Exit
    .
    NOTE:
    Group assigned appears next to a group or role that is already assigned to a role. You can assign the role to a user or group from
    Project view
    by dragging the role  to the user or group in
    Project view
    .
    NOTE: To assign a role from a context menu, in
    Manage users and groups
    , right-click the role, select
    Assign to users or groups
    , select the roles to assign to the user or group, and then select
    Apply
    .
  4. Select
    Exit
    .
The role appears assigned to the user or group on the dashboard page.
