Add user authentication

Authenticate your
FactoryTalk Optix
 user identity to your version control solution. You must add user authentication to push saved and committed changes to remote repositories.
Prerequisites
If you want to add an on-premises identity:
  • Obtain the URL of the version control server.
  • Generate the most permissive personal access token.
  1. To add user authentication
  2. Select
    FactoryTalk Optix Studio Options
    .
  3. Select
    Version control
    .
  4. Select either:
    • An on-premises provider. Enter the server URL and personal access token, and then select
      Add identity
      .
    • A cloud provider. Select
      Add identity
       and follow instructions in your web browser.
Your version control provider identity appears under
Provider identity login
. You can now push any saved and committed changes in a shared project to the remote repository.
