Specify network settings
Use the Network Settings Widget to enable DHCP client and specify the IP address, Mask, gateway, and DNS settings for the network of the device.
- On the device, open the screen with the Network Settings Widget.If you created your project using the OptixPanel template on the start page, selectSettingsand then selectNetwork.
- Select the network settings to configure for the device:
- LAN. Network settings for a compact device with one port or a standard device with two ports.
- WAN. Network settings for a standard device with two ports.
- SelectDHCP client enabledto assign IP, mask, gateway, and DNS addresses automatically and make the settings read-only, or clearDHCP client enabledto enter network settings manually:
- IP address. The IP address of the device.
- Mask. This address must be identical to the server mask.
- Default gateway. Optional IP address for the default network gateway.
- DNS 1. Primary DNS address of the network.
- DNS 2. Secondary DNS address of the network.
Changes to network settings require you to reboot the device. - If you have made manual changes, selectApply.
- SelectReboot.You must reconnect the device through the FTRA widget. See Connect to remote access
