DCST wiring and programming example

This topic demonstrates how to wire the Guard I/O and program the instruction in the safety control portion of an application
This application example complies with ISO 13849-1, Category 4 operation.

TIP:
The tag in the preceding table is an internal Boolean tag that has its value determined by other parts of the user application not shown in this example. The falling edge (1->0) of the Test Request input forces a test to be executed (safe state must be observed). Connecting this input to the output that enables the hazard forces a test to be executed every time the hazard is stopped.
The programming software is used to configure the input and output operands of the Guard I/O module as illustrated.
