OEL Tab

Use this tab to configure your over-excitation limiting settings. Enter the over-excitation limiting values according to the manufacturer’s recommendations for your specific generator. The values you enter here represent the thresholds and time delays required for over-excitation limiting, and to protect the generator/exciter from harmful heating.
On this tab, you can choose to display either online over-excitation limiting or offline over-excitation limiting.
For online over-excitation limiting, the height of the upper bar is determined by the High-Level and Medium-Level Setpoints, and its length is determined by the High-Level Time Delay. The height of the second bar is determined by the Medium-Level and Low-Level Setpoints, and its length is determined by the Medium-Level Time Delay. The Low-Level Setpoint extends continuously.
For offline over-excitation limiting, the height of the upper bar is determined by the High-Level and Low-Level setpoints, and its length is determined by the High-Level Time Delay. The height of the second bar is determined by the Low-Level Setpoint, which extends continuously.

Tip:
The values you enter for setpoints are checked in relation to each other. In other words, High-Level Setpoint >= Medium-Level Setpoint >= Low-Level Setpoint.
Online
High-Level Setpoint
Valid values range from 0.0 A to 9999.0 A. The default value is 30.0 A.
