UEL Tab

Use this tab to configure your under-excitation limiting settings. Enter the under-excitation limiting values according to the manufacturer’s recommendations for your specific generator. The values you enter here establish a curve that is above the steady state stability limit of the generator to prevent it from slipping out of synchronization with the utility source.
W points decrease from Point 1 to Point 5, and VAR points increase from Point 1 to Point 5.
Parameters
Under-Excitation Limiting Enable
Check this box to enable under-excitation limiting.
Under-Excitation Limiting Curve
W Point #1
Enter the first Real Power point. Valid values range from 0.0 W to 1,000,000,000 W. The default value is 25,000 W.
W Point #2
Enter the second Real Power point. Valid values range from 0.0 W to 1,000,000,000 W. The default value is 50,000 W.
W Point #3
Enter the third Real Power point. Valid values range from 0.0 W to 1,000,000,000 W. The default value is 100,000 W.
W Point #4
Enter the fourth Real Power point. Valid values range from 0.0 W to 1,000,000,000 W. The default value is 200,000 W.
W Point #5
Enter the fifth Real Power point. Valid values range from 0.0 W to 1,000,000,000 W. The default value is 300,000 W.
VAR Point #1
Enter the first Reactive Power point. Valid values range from 0.0 VAR to 1,000,000,000 VAR. The default value is 275,000 VAR.
VAR Point #2
Enter the second Reactive Power point. Valid values range from 0.0 VAR to 1,000,000,000 VAR. The default value is 250,000 VAR.
VAR Point #3
Enter the third Reactive Power point. Valid values range from 0.0 VAR to 1,000,000,000 VAR. The default value is 200,000 VAR.
VAR Point #4
Enter the fourth Reactive Power point. Valid values range from 0.0 VAR to 1,000,000,000 VAR. The default value is 100,000 VAR.
VAR Point #5
Enter the fifth Reactive Power point. Valid values range from 0.0 VAR to 1,000,000,000 VAR. The default value is 20,000 VAR.
Validate & Graph
Click this button to update the current under-excitation limiting graph, based on the values you have entered.
OK
Click this button to accept your edits on any tab and close the dialog.
Cancel
Click this button to cancel your edits on any tab and close the dialog.
Apply
Click this button to apply your edits on any tab and continue editing.
