Volts/Hz Tab

Use this tab to enter the knee frequencies and slope values for the upper and lower volts per hertz settings.
The graph shown on the right side of this dialog is generated based on the data you enter in the fields on the left side of the dialog. Clicking on the Validate & Graph button allows you to graphically evaluate the date you enter before having to apply it.
Parameters
Volts/Hz
Upper Knee Frequency
This value indicates the frequency at which the V/Hz characteristic will start to reduce the generator voltage as a function of generator frequency. Valid values range from 15.0 Hz to 90.0 Hz. The default value is 57.0 Hz.
Upper Slope
This value indicates the rate at which the V/Hz characteristic will reduce the generator voltage as a function of generator frequency. The steeper the slope, the faster the prime mover will be unloaded and the smaller the frequency variations will be experienced during load applications. Valid values range from 0.0 V/Hz to 3.0 V/Hz. The default value is 1.0 V/Hz.
Lower Knee Frequency
This value indicates the frequency at which the V/Hz characteristic will start to reduce the generator voltage at the lower slope rate as a function of generator frequency. Valid values range from 15.0 Hz. to 90.0 Hz. The default value is 50.0 Hz.
Lower Slope
This value indicates the rate at which the V/Hz characteristic will reduce the generator voltage as a function of generator frequency after the Lower Knee Frequency has been exceeded. Valid values range from 0.0 V/Hz to 3.0 V/Hz. The default value is 2.0 V/Hz.
Generator
Rated Frequency
This value is read-only. It comes from the Generator tab, and is used in the calculation of the actual slope to use.
