Calibration tab parameters 1756 analog I/O

The table describes the parameters on the
Calibration
tab of the
Module Properties
dialog.
ATTENTION:
Entering calibration mode causes all input channels to freeze at their current values and fault. Control may be impair
Parameter
Description
Calibration Range
Displays the range in which the channel will be calibrated based on the current module selected.
Calibration Range
may also be fixed or dependant on the Input Range selected during configuration.
Calibration Gain
Displays the calibration gain correction factor currently being applied to the channel.
Calibration Offset (Counts)
Displays the calibration offset correction factor in DAC/ADC counts currently being applied to the channel.
Calibration Status
Indicates if the existing calibration for the channel is considered bad. A calibration is considered bad if:
  • The channel has never been calibrated.
    • The channel failed and calibration was cancelled during the last attempt to calibrate.
Start Calibration (available only when the controller is online)
Starts the calibration process. If you are using the 1756-OF4, -OF8, -IT6I, -IF6I or the IF6CIS modules for current or voltage applications, select the appropriate
Output Range
or
Input Range
on the
Configuration
tab on the
Module Properties
dialog box.
Module Last Successfully Calibrated
Displays the date on which the module was last successfully calibrated.
