Configure a non-isolated analog input module 1756-IF8 and -IF16, floating point

Create a channel-level configuration specific to your application.
To configure a non-isolated analog input module (floating point):
    1. In the
      Controller Organizer
      , right-click the module and select
      Properties
      .
    2. In the
      Module Propertie
      s dialog, select the
      Configuration
      tab.
    3. Select the
      Channel
      button to select the channel to configure.
    In the
    Scaling
    area, enter the appropriate scaling values for:
    • Low Signal
    • Low Engineering
    • High Signal
    • High Engineering
  1. In the
    RTS
    box, select or type the real time sample period in milliseconds to indicate how often the module scans its input channels.
  2. In the
    Input Range
    box, select the desired input operating range.
  3. In the
    Sensor Offset
    box, select the appropriate offset value for the calibration bias.
  4. In the
    Digital Filter
    box, select or type the desired filter time constant, in milliseconds.
  5. In the
    Module Filter (-3 dB)
    box, select the filter frequency for the entire module. The filter attenuates the input signal beginning at the specified frequency.
    1. Select
      Apply
      to save the changes and continue editing, or select
      OK
      to save the changes and close the dialog.
