Configure Alarms non-isolated analog input modules

Use the
Alarms
tab on the
Modules Properties
dialog box to configure process alarms and rate alarms on non-isolated analog input modules for each channel.
To configure the alarms on non-isolated analog input modules:
  1. Select
    Channel
    for the channel that you want to configure.
  2. In the
    Process Alarms
    section, enter the desired process alarm values for:
    • High High
    • High
    • Low
    • Low Low
  3. Select
    Unlatch All
    to unlatch
    all
    alarms for the channel.
  4. Select
    Unlatch
    ito unlatch the adjacent alarm condition.
  5. Use the slider bar to visualize where the process alarm trigger parts are set for your process.
  6. Select the
    Disable All Alarms
    check box ito disable alarms for the channel.
  7. Select the
    Latch Process Alarms
    check box to maintain an alarm-triggered condition for any of the process alarms after the condition ceases.
  8. Select the
    Latch Rate Alarm
    check box to maintain the alarm after the condition ceases.
  9. In the
    Deadband
    box, enter a value for which the alarm will not disable, if the input value remains within the range of the alarm trigger point.
  10. In the
    Rate Alarm
    box, enter a value (in Engineering Units per second), for the alarm to trigger when the rate of change between the input samples exceeds the setpoint.
    1. Select
      Apply
      to save the changes and continue editing, or select
      OK
      to save the changes and close the dialog.
