Diagnostics Tab 1756-OB8EI

Use this diagnostic tab to reset the electronic fuses for each output point on the 1756-OB8EI module.

Electronic Fuse

Use these buttons to reset the electronic fuse for each output point.

This feature is a combination of two diagnostics and is always enabled. It detects when the output point experiences thermal overload or if the output point has a tripped electronic fuse.

Overload occurs when the module is getting too hot due to excessive current flow. The short trip diagnostic is set when the output is shorted directly to ground.
