Minor Recoverable Fault

If a minor fault occurs for:
This field displays:
That may indicate:
Digital module
Multicast CRC errors above threshold
The module is confused about which slot it is in because too many multicast CRC errors have occurred
RA/GA miscompare fault
Multicast receiver disabled
Analog input module
Channel Fault
Calibrating, underrange, or overrange on at least one channel
Analog output module
Channel Fault
  • Calibrating, low clamp limit, or high clamp limit on at least one channel
  • Open wire fault (for non-isolated modules). Check the Analog Input data or Output data for more specific information.
Non I/O module
I/O (input/output)
Devices that provide and/or receive data from the controller.
Faulted
  • An RA/GA miscompare fault has occurred
    RA/GA
Rack address/group address. When an RA/GA mismatch occurs:
    • make sure the module is seated correctly in the chassis
    • check the backplane for metal shavings that might have shorted backplane lines
  • The DH+ is the only module on the link
If the software configuration and the actual physical hardware differ greatly (such as, the software has been configured for a digital module and the actual physical module is an analog module), then the software can only display this generic fault status:
fault
A problem or error detected by the control system hardware or software. A fault is identified by an error code or an error bit.
  • Unrecoverable Fault
  • Recoverable Fault
  • None
