Output Configuration Tab - 1756-HSC

Use this tab to configure outputs for the 1756-HSC module.
Parameters
Output
Select the number of the output to configure. All other parameters on this dialog are based upon the selected output.
Tie to Counter
Choose the counter to which you want to assign the output, if any. Choose from:
  • Not Tied to Counter (default)
  • Tied to Counter 0
  • Tied to Counter 1
You may assign a counter to up to two outputs. However, you can only assign each output to one counter.
Output State in Fault Mode
Choose the behavior that an output exhibits if a communications fault occurs. Choose from:
  • Outputs Turn OFF (default)
  • Outputs Turn ON
  • Counter Continues to Determine Outputs Operation
Output State in Program Mode
Choose the behavior that an output exhibits when transitioning to Program Mode. Choose from:
  • Outputs Turn OFF (default)
  • Outputs Turn ON
  • Counter Continues to Determine Outputs Operation
First Value Output Turns ON
Enter the first value at which the output turns ON. Valid values range from 0 (default) to 16777214.
First Value Output Turns OFF
Enter the first value at which the output turns OFF. Valid values range from 0 (default) to 16777214.
Second Value Output Turns ON
Enter the second value at which the output turns ON. Valid values range from 0 (default) to 16777214.
Second Value Output Turns OFF
Enter the second value at which the output turns OFF. Valid values range from 0 (default) to 16777214.
When communications fail in Program Mode
Choose the option that indicates how outputs should be set when connections are lost and the owner-controller is in Program Mode. Choose from:
  • Leave outputs in Program Mode state
  • Change outputs to Fault Mode state
OK
Select this button to accept your edits on any tab and close the dialog.
Cancel
Select this button to cancel your edits on any tab and close the dialog.
Apply
Select this button to apply your edits on any tab and continue editing.
If:
  • You are online in Program, Remote Program or Remote Run mode and,
  • This controller is the owner controller and,
    controller
    A device that controls machines or processes elements (for example, a programmable controller or relay panel).
  • You have changed the module’s configuration in the software,
when you select
Apply
or
OK
, the information is automatically sent to the controller. The controller tries to send the information to the module (if the module’s connection is not inhibited). If you don’t select
Apply
, your changes are not sent to the controller.
