Configure Alarms - 1794-IJ2, 1794-IJ2I, 1797-IJ2
In order to enable alarm outputs, the CommFault member in the AB:1794_IJ2:C:0, AB:1794_IJ2I:C:0, or the AB:1797_IJ2:C:0 configuration module-defined data type must be set to 1. If this member is set to 0, the module does not enable alarm outputs. You can set this member using the Data Monitor in the
Logix Designer
application or through the user program.To configure the alarms on the 1794-IJ2, 1794-IJ2I, or the 1797-IJ2, from the Alarms tab:
- Click the Channel button and choose the channel you wish to set.
- Click the Startup Mode checkbox to select the Startup mode of operation.
- Choose the desired Missing Pulse Multiplier from the dropdown list box.
- Choose the desired Missing Pulse Delay Multiplier from the dropdown list box.
- Choose the desired Pulses to Terminate Sampling from the dropdown list box.
- Choose the desired mode for the Wire-Off/Missing pulse Fault Select Mode from the dropdown list box.
- Check the Detect Frequency Input Wire-Off checkbox if you wish to Detect Frequency Input Wire-Off.
- Check the Detect Gate Input Wire-Off checkbox if you wish to Detect Gate Input Wire-Off.
- For the 1797-IJ2, check the Use Alternate Pulses to Terminate Sampling checkbox if you wish to use alternate values for pulses to terminate sampling.Important:This feature, when selected for a channel group, applies toallchannels on the module.
- Click:
- OK to accept your edits and close the dialog.
- Cancel to delete your edits and close the dialog.
- Apply to make your edits effective and continue editing.
