Measure Output Offset and Record Values - FLEX I/O Calibration

To measure the output offset and record its value:
offset
The steady-state deviation of a controlled variable from a fixed set point. In a linear function (y=mx+b), the parameter (b) is used to drive the dependent variable (y) to zero when the independent variable (x) is zero.
  1. Measure the voltages/current of the channels by using a multimeter.
  2. Enter the value, for each channel, in the
    Recorded Reference (Volts)/(mA)
    column.
  3. Select
    Next
to see the results of the output offset calibration.
The software uses the value entered, calculates the error correction and sends the correction to the module.
You may also select:
  • Retry
if an error occurs and you need to repeat a step in the calibration process.
    TIP:
This button is only enabled when an error occurs.
  • Stop
to cancel calibration and exit the calibration.
  • Help
    for assistance with this tab.
