Module Data Types - 1794-OE8H, 1797-OE8H
The table below lists and describes the module-defined data types for the 1797-OE8 module. It includes information for input (as indicated by an "I"), output (as indicated by an "O"), and configuration (as indicated by a "C").
TIP:
FLEX Ex I/O is based on 16-bit INTs and not 32-bit DINTs. Using 16-bit INTs in instructions that are optimized for 32-bit DINTs may decrease performance with certain instructions.
IMPORTANT:
Some of the configuration information for this module is located in the output module-defined data type and is different than that on an RSLogix 5 system. Since this information is exposed differently in RSLogix 5 and RSLogix 5000 systems, you must remember to verify the configuration information in the output module-defined data type on a RSLogix 5000 system.
In addition, an output module is configured by a controller that establishes a connection as an owner; however, only one owner connection is allowed for output modules. If another controller attempts to establish an owner connection, the connection attempt is rejected.
