Module Data Types 1797-IE8, -IE8NF

The table below lists and describes the module-defined data types for 1797-IE8 and 1797-IE8NF modules. It includes information for input (as indicated by an "I") and configuration (as indicated by a "C").
TIP:
FLEX Ex I/O is based on 16-bit INTs and not 32-bit DINTs. Using 16-bit INTs in instructions that are optimized for 32-bit DINTs may decrease performance with certain instructions.

Description
Fault
DINT
Binary
Fault - Used for Input Data Validation
0 = Valid Data
1 = Invalid Data - if the connection to the module has been lost, or if the module has a severe hardware fault, the lower 8 members are set to 1.
Ch0Data

Ch2Data
Ch3Data
Ch4Data
Ch5Data
Ch6Data
Ch7Data
INT
Decimal
Input data for the selected channel.
Alarms
INT
Binary
Alarms data.
Ch0Underrange
Ch1Underrange
Ch2Underrange
Ch3Underrange
Ch4Underrange
Ch5Underrange
Ch6Underrange
Ch7Underrange
BOOL
Decimal
Underrange-set if the input signal is below the input channel’s minimum range. Ch0 corresponds to channel 0, Ch1 corresponds to channel 1, etc. up to Ch7 corresponding to channel 7.
Ch0Overrange
Ch1Overrange
Ch2Overrange
Ch3Overrange
Ch4Overrange
Ch5Overrange
Ch6Overrange
Ch7Overrange

Overrange-set if the input signal is above the input channel’s maximum range.
Status1
INT
Binary
Alarms data.
Ch0LocalFault
Ch1LocalFault
Ch2LocalFault
Ch3LocalFault
Ch4LocalFault
Ch5LocalFault
Ch6LocalFault
Ch7LocalFault
BOOL
Decimal
This member is set when the loop to the transmitter or field device is open or shorted.
Ch0RemoteFault
Ch1RemoteFault
Ch2RemoteFault
Ch3RemoteFault
Ch4RemoteFault
Ch5RemoteFault
Ch6RemoteFault
Ch7RemoteFault
BOOL
Decimal
This member is set when the Remote Transmitter Error Up or Down is selected and there is an alarm from the remote transmitter indicating transmitter difficulties, sensor difficulties, or the loop to the sensor is open. If not using a remote transmitter then the bit for the channel indicates a high-high or low-low alarm.
Status2
INT
Binary
Diagnostic data.
Ch0DiagnosticStatus0
Ch1DiagnosticStatus1
Ch2DiagnosticStatus2
Ch3DiagnosticStatus3
BOOL
Decimal
Diagnostic Data: 0=normal, 1=calibration failure, 2=configuration failure (bad Data Format selected), 3=message failure, 4=lead break detection hardware failure, 5=major hardware failure, 6=EEPROM failure, 7=RAM failure, 8=ROM failure, 9=calculation failure, 10-15 are unused.
EDTResponseData
SINT
Decimal
Extended data table response data settings that echo the EDT command data written to the module during calibration.
EDTResponse
SINT
