Failed to convert an older project file
Problem
The project file was not convertedbecause:
- Do not have the required security permission to access the project.
- One or more components in the project are protected by License Source Protection, and theCmStickcontaining the license is not present on the computer.
- One or more components in the project are protected by License Source Protection, which is not supported on the selected controller in this version of theLogix Designerapplication.
- One or more safety components in the project are protected by License Source Protection. which is not supported on the selected controller in this version of theLogix Designerapplication.do not support License Source Protection for safety components.Compact GuardLogix 5380. CompactLogix 5380, CompactLogix 5480, ControlLogix 5580, and GuardLogix 5580 controllers
- TheLogix Designerapplication found a recovery file for the project to open. The recovery file was created in an older version ofLogix Designerthan is currently installed.
Solution
To resolve the
problem
:- Check with your Security Administrator to verify sufficient access to the project.
- Insert the appropriateCmStickcontaining the required license. Refer to the error message to see the firm code and product code of the missing license.
- Remove License Source Protection from the project or components before importing them, or open the project using aControlLogix5570 controller or aCompactLogix5370 controller.
- Open the recovery file in the version of theLogix Designerapplication in which it was created. That application version presents the option to use the recovery file or the last saved file version.
- Delete the recovery file from the system and try converting it again.TIP:If the recovery file is hidden, it does not appear in your directory. Show hidden files to view all files.
