Cam Editor

Use this dialog to edit or view cams and cam profiles. From this dialog, you can add cam elements or change existing cam point coordinates from either a graphical view or a grid view.
If you access this dialog while in Run mode, all information is read-only; when Run mode is disabled, you are allowed to perform edits. While in the read-only state, you can still use the zoom functions on the dialog.
TIP:
When and if you resize this dialog, the width and height of the grid and slope views remain the same size, while the graph view expands and contracts according to your resizing. An asterisk in the title bar indicates that there are edits waiting to be applied.
Parameters
Title bar
Displays the current tag name.
Status bar
Displays the current mouse position.
Graphical view
Displays the cam profile as a line graph, with either straight lines (linear) or smooth curves (cubic) representing the cam segments connecting the points.
When you move your cursor over individual cam points, a box appears displaying cam point information.
Note that you can also right-click this view to access various edit functions, as well as the Graph Properties dialog.
Grid view
Displays the cam profile as numerical data, including the Master and Slave coordinates, and the connecting line type. Each row in the grid represents a cam element; the row number indicates the index within the cam array.
Note that you can also right-click this view to access various edit functions.
Slope view
Indicates the start slope and end slope for the cam profile.
TIP:
Start Slope and End Slope values are not retained with a CAM tag but are retained when used with a CAM_PROFILE tag. When used with a CAM tag, Start Slope and End Slope values allow visualization of values that can be applied with a Motion Calculate Cam Profile (MCCP) instruction.
