Create or edit Output Cam Profiles

To create an output cam profile:
  • Select the Insert Cam Element button and select in the graph area on the left-hand side of the
    Output Cam Editor
    dialog box.
You can also type cam element values directly into the columns of the grid on the right-hand side of the editor.
TIP: If you double-click the Insert Cam Element button, the editor stays in insert mode and the button remains depressed until you select it again. This allows you to easily insert multiple cam elements without having to repeatedly select the Insert Cam Element button.
To edit an existing output cam profile:
  • Select the cam element you wish to change, hold down the left mouse button, and drag the cam element to its new location.
    • Selecting and dragging the left side of the output cam moves just the left position of the cam element
    • Selecting and dragging the right side moves just the right position
    • Selecting and dragging anywhere between the left and right side moves both positions
  • You can also type new values into the Left Position and Right Position columns of the grid on the right-hand side of the Output Cam Editor.
IMPORTANT: Inserting and deleting cam elements can result in changes to the order in which data is stored in the output cam array. References to elements within the array may no longer be valid.
Accessing the Output Cam Editor dialog box
To access the
Output Cam Editor
dialog box, right click an OUTPUT_CAM data type from the Tag Editor, and choose

. Note that you must specify an array for this data type in order for the menu option to be available.
