Finalize All Edits in a Program

From this dialog box, you are prompted to confirm whether you want to finalize all edits in all edit zones of all ladder routines in the selected program and all edits in all Pending Edits and Test Edits views of all other routines in the program.
To confirm that you want to finalize these edits:
  • Review the list of pending edits and select
    Yes
    .
Important:
This operation cannot be undone.
If you change safety instruction parameters while in Run mode, you must accept the pending edits and cycle the controller mode from Program to Run, in order for the changes to take effect.
When you choose to finalize all edits:
  • First, any Pending Edits are accepted (downloaded to the controller if online). If a verification error occurs in any Pending Edits Zone, none of the pending edits will be committed to the controller and the finalize process will stop.
  • Next, any Accepted Edits are assembled.
Tip: Some online edits to SFC routines require a reset to the initial step as well as all stored actions being reset. Any routines requiring this reset have a Reset icon next to them. For these routines, the chart will reset to the initial step when the modified program begins to execute. For a list of online edits that require an SFC routine to be reset, see Types of Online Edits that Require an SFC Reset.
  • Finally, if the controller is in Run mode, the assembled edits will begin executing.
Important:
If you choose the Finalize All Edits option, edits are assembled immediately. A major fault could affect both the primary and secondary controllers.
