PVLVS parameter values

Use the
Parameters
tab of the
PVLVS Properties
dialog box to modify values of parameters available from the Process Valve Statistics (PVLVS) instruction.
To modify parameter values for PVLVS instructions
  1. On the instruction in the routine, perform one of these actions:
    • On the Ladder or FBD instruction, select .
    • In the Structured Text editor, right-click the tag name and select
      Configure <tag name>
      .
  2. Open the
    Parameters
    tab.
  3. Set the parameters:
    • Vis
. Select check boxes in this column to determine which parameters are visible on the function block. If the parameter is wired to another parameter, the check box is selected, and cannot be cleared because the parameter must be visible on the block.
    • Value
. Displays the current value of the parameter. Values in this column are displayed according to the display style of the block tag’s data type. If the parameter is wired to another parameter, the value column is read-only, and the value cannot change. If you modify this value while online, select
      Apply
      to propagate the changes online.
    • Insert instruction defaults
      . Resets the
      Vis
      and
      Value
columns to the user-stored default values. Use this button to insert instruction defaults saved in the registry to this instance of the tag. This button is only enabled when the instruction defaults are available in the registry.
    • Insert factory defaults
      . Resets the
      Vis
      and
      Value
      columns to factory default values.
    • Save instruction defaults
. Saves currently visible values in the
      Parameters
      tab to the registry.
    • Sort parameters
. Sorts the parameters alphabetically. When the check box is clear, parameters order is given by the default with inputs followed by output.
  4. View the read-only parameters:
    • Input/Output Row Header
. An I at the start of a row indicates an input parameter; an O indicates an output parameter.
    • Name
. The name of the parameter.
    • Type
. The data type for the parameter.
    • Description
. The description of the parameter.
    • Device issues
      . Error in configuration.
    • Valve Operation Status
. The last opened to closed stroke or closed to opened stroke exceeded configured time threshold. If state change is within configured time, threshold valve is operating as expected.
  5. Select
    Apply
    .
