HMI text for PAH instructions

Use the
HMI
tab on the
PAH Properties
dialog box to enter text that appears on HMI devices for Process Analog HART (PAH) instructions.
To enter HMI text for PAH instructions
  1. On the instruction in the routine, perform one of these actions:
    • On the Ladder or FBD instruction, select .
    • In the Structured Text editor, right-click the tag name and select
      Configure <tag name>
      .
  2. Select the
    HMI
    tab.
  3. Configure these settings:
    • Library name
      . Associates instructions with a display library for faceplate access.
    • Instruction name
      . Associates the instruction name for faceplate access.
    • Display label
      . A label that appears on the graphic HMI symbol.
    • Area name for security
      . The area name for area-based security in the HMI.
    • Help button URL
      . URL for accessing help from the HMI.
    • Enable navigation to an object with more information
      . Select this checkbox to enable navigation to another source of information. In the box, enter the navigation path to the object, document, or website. Clear the checkbox to disable navigation to an object with more information.
    • Enable navigation to an analog object
      . Select this checkbox to enable navigation to an analog object or device. In the box, enter the navigation path to the object or device. Clear the checkbox to disable navigation to an analog object.
    • Analog signal units
      . Labels for analog signal raw and PV units displayed on the HMI. If the instruction is configured to use the text configuration from the HART device, the
      HART
      column displays that unit label. The
      Use text configuration from HART device
      check box appears on the
      HMI > HART configuration
      tab.
  4. When online with the controller, monitor the
    Device state
    and
    Device issues
    indicators at the bottom left of the dialog box:
    • Device state
      . Displays the current device state, such as
      Live
      ,
      Diagnostic information
      , or
      Maintenance required
      .
    • Device issues
      . Displays fault conditions, such as
      HART communication lost
      or
      Module connection fault
      .
  5. Select
    Apply
    .
