Search using Find

Use
Find
to locate specific items in your project. Use the options on the
Find
dialog box to limit and focus your search.
To conduct a search using Find:
  1. Click
    Search > Find.
  2. In the
    Find What
    field, enter a string to search for.
    When you first open the
    Find
    dialog box, if a language or tag editor window is active, this field contains either the selected text or the text on which the cursor is located. Otherwise, it contains the text from the last search. You can also choose to enter a new string or select a previously-searched string from the list. This list contains up to 10 items.
  3. (optional) To search for a specific item, such as a tag, click the dots button to access the
    Search Item Browser
    dialog box, from which you can select the item.
  4. From the
    Limit To
    menu, select an option to provide more information on what the item in the
    Find What
    field represents.
  5. Determine whether to search routines, tags, or programs by using the
    Find Where
    menu.
  6. (optional) To focus your search, use the additional search options.
  7. To conduct the search, click
    Find Next
    or
    Find All
    .
