Change the text in a graphic element

Change the text in any graphic element that displays text. For example, change the text on a button in the project.
To change the text in a graphic element:
  • On the screen, double-click the graphic element to highlight the text and type the new text.
    TIP:
    Tips:
    • Resizing the width of a graphic element that displays text wraps the text as necessary.
    • Resizing the height of a graphic element that displays text does not resize the text to fit. Resize the height of the graphic element to display the text.
    • As an alternative, on the
      Properties
      tab, type the text in the
      Text
      property box for the graphic element.
    • To resize the text within a graphic element while resizing the graphic element, hold
      Ctrl
      while dragging a sizing handle.
    • Resizing an instance of an Add-On Graphic scales the text of any graphic element contained in the definition of the Add-On Graphic.
    • View Designer
       supports Unicode characters that appear in the Arial Unicode MS font. When inserting text that contains Unicode characters in a graphic element, select
      Arial Unicode MS
      in the
      FontName
      property of the graphic element. Supported Unicode characters appear on the HMI device.
