Lock or unlock groups
Lock groups to keep them from moving while you are developing a screen.
Locking applies to groups which are directly on the canvas, you cannot lock nested groups. When a group or element is locked, you cannot perform any operations on canvas. You can still adjust some settings in the Properties window when an element is selected in the Graphic Explorer.
Locking a group does not affect the application during runtime.
TIP:
Tip:You can select and group a locked group with other elements or groups in the Graphic Explorer.. The group remains locked and the property of any grouped element is unselected.
Locking elements or groups within a parent group is not allowed. You can edit individual elements or groups properties in the Properties window.
- In Graphic Explorer, select a locked group , press CTRL and select group or elements you want to group together.
- Right-click selected elements or groups and selectGroup.
To lock a group:
- In theGraphic Explorer, point to the group you want to lock and click the unlock icon
. The unlock icon changes to the lock icon
to indicate the group is locked.
TIP:
Alternate methods of locking a group:
- In theGraphic Explorer, right-click the group and clickLock.
- Select the group and then from theMenubar, clickEdit > Lock.
To unlock a group:
- In theGraphic Explorer, point to the group you want to unlock and click the lock icon

to indicate the group is unlocked.
