Logix Designer
. The command opens
Logix Designer
from the Emulator or a
View 5000 Client
of a project configured for a
View 5000 Server
HMI device.

5000 HMI devices do not support opening

.
  • Prerequisites
    • Create an event to trigger the command:
      • Touch press.
        Occurs when touching the item on the screen that is configured with the event.
      • Touch release.
        Occurs when releasing the item on the screen that is configured with the event.
      • Key press.
        Occurs when
        pressing the specified key.
      • Key release.
        Occurs when releasing the specified key.
    State Enter. Occurs when a graphic element, Add-On Graphic, screen, popup, or the System Banner transitions into the selected state through an animation.
To add an event command to open
Logix Designer
    1. Select the graphic element configured with the touch or key event.
    2. In the
      Properties
      pane on the
      Events
      tab, select
      Add Command
      .
    Expand the
    Windows
    category and select
    Open Logix Designer
    .
  1. Specify the .ACD file and the location in the file to open:
    • In the
      ProjectFile
      box, browse to select the file to open.
    • In the
      ProgramName
      box, enter the program to open.
    • In the
      RoutineName
      box, enter the routine to open.
    • In the
      RungNumber
      box, enter the rung number to open.
