Reset a latched alarm
When an alarm configured to latch enters the In Alarm state, the alarm remains In Alarm. This is true even when the input for the alarm changes. An alarm configured to latch when input is high remains In Alarm, even if the input turns low, because the alarm is latched. The alarm can only enter the Normal or Inactive state when resetting the alarm.
To reset a latched alarm
- Open theAlarm Summaryscreen.
- Select either the instruction-based or tag-based alarm.TIP:Using an external keyboard, tab to highlight the alarm list and press theUp ArroworDown Arrowto select the alarm.
- At the bottom of the Alarm Summary table, selectReset Latched Alarms
. The alarm state returns to Normal.
TIP:Tips:- Resetting a latched alarm acknowledges the alarm.
- Using an external keyboard, tab to highlight a button on an alarm table and pressEnter.
