Log data

If the

View Designer

project on the HMI device contains data logs, the HMI device logs the values of the tags in the data log automatically. The HMI device must have an SD card in order to log data. The SD Card allows the Data Log service to run and export.

To log data

Insert an SD Card into the HMI device.

If a referenced tag does not exist in the controller or there is a communication issue with the controller, Tags are in error
appears at the top of the Data Export
popup of the Settings
screen.

Ejecting and immediately reinserting the SD card into the HMI device may not restart data logging. Data logging does not recognize that the SD card is present. Eject the SD card, wait several seconds, and reinsert the SD card to restart data logging.
