Log off

Logging off from the application automatically logs on the Guest user. The current screen remains open if the Guest user role has security access to the screen. If Guest does not have access to the current screen, the
Home
screen for the project opens. Only items to which the Guest user account has access appear in the
Navigation menu
.
To log off
  1. In the
    System Banner
    at the top of the screen, select ViewRTSysBannerLogOnIconV5
    Log on
    . The
    Logon
    dialog box opens.
  2. Select
    Log off
    . The
    Logon
    dialog box closes. Log on appears in the
    System Banner
    .
    TIP:
    Tips:
    • Using an external keyboard, tab to highlight a button and press
      Enter
      .
    • Logging off the HMI device erases the navigation history.
    • Log off occurs automatically if the HMI Designer configures the project to log off after a specified period of inactivity. To identify any specified time limit set for automatic log off, contact the HMI Designer.
