Manage lineup import conflicts

When importing an MCC lineup, two conflicts may occur, a:
  • Conflict with a lineup with a different GUID (IntelliCENTER unique ID) and same name as an existing one in the project.
  • Conflict with a lineup with the same GUID but different name as an existing one in the project.
Prerequisites
  • Purchase and download the dataset folder.
  • Unzip the dataset folder to your local drive.
  • A
    FactoryTalk Design Studio
    project with lineups.
To manage lineup import conflicts:
  1. Select a lineup to import.
    • If you import a lineup with a different GUID but same name as one already in the project, the
      Replace MCC Lineup
dialog box opens with the message that you are importing a duplicate MCC lineup.
    • If you import a lineup with the same GUID but different name, the
      Replace MCC Lineup
dialog box opens with the message that you are importing an MCC lineup with the same GUID as one already in the project.
  2. Select to
    Replace
the lineup in the project with the one you are importing or create a new lineup by selecting
    Create New
    .
  • If you import an MCC lineup with a different GUID but same name as one already in the project, selecting
    Create New
causes a new lineup to show in the MCC lineup explorer tree with a number at the end to identify that it is new.
  • If you import an MCC lineup with the same GUID but different name, selecting
    Create New
causes a new lineup to show in the MCC lineup explorer tree with a different name.
