Export a FactoryTalk Optix Application
Export a
FactoryTalk Optix Application
to deploy the application to target devices that
are not accessible in the network. To export the application, specify the platform on which
the exported application will be deployed.- Select the arrow next toand then select .Save
- Select the platform of the target device:
- Windows x86 64-bit. Export the main project folder with all of the folders and application files for deployment to any Windows computer.
- Ubuntu 22.04 x86 64-bit. Export the main project folder with all of the folders and application files for deployment to a target device with an Ubuntu operating system.
- OptixPanel/Embedded Edge Compute. Export the application for deployment to an Optix Panel. When selecting this option, complete the optional fields:
- Password. Enter an optional password for the exported project. You will be prompted to enter the password when importing the application to the target device.
- Encrypt project on device. Encrypt the project on the Optix Panel.
- Download source project on device. Download the exported project onto the Optix Panel.
- ThinManager. Export the application for use in ThinManager. The resulting zip file contains both the application and the Ubuntu operating system. Export the application for deployment to a thin-client device using Thin Manager software.
- InLocation, type the folder path to save theFactoryTalk Optix Applicationor browse to select the folder.NOTE: A folder can only contain oneFactoryTalk Optix Application. EachFactoryTalk Optix Applicationmust have a separate folder.
- SelectExport.
- If the application already exists in the specified folder, selectOKto overwrite the application orCancelto specify a different folder.A progress window displays while theFactoryTalk Optix Applicationis exported. When the export is complete, a message appears that theFactoryTalk Optix Applicationis successfully exported to the specified location.
- For OptixPanel/Embedded Edge Compute and ThinManager platforms, open the folder that contains the application by selecting the link in the message.The zip file with the application appears in the specified path.
A progress window displays while the
FactoryTalk Optix Application
is being exported. After
the export has completed, a dialog appears to inform you that the FactoryTalk Optix Application
was successfully exported to the location specified.export
