Apply a permission set to an Add-On Instruction
Apply a permission set to control access to an Add-On Instruction.
The security settings that you apply override and operate instead of any security policy applied to the overall project. Permission sets are maintained using the
FactoryTalk Administration Console
.
TIP:
To apply a permission set to a component, users must have Component: Modify Permission Set privileges, which are configured in
FactoryTalk Security
.To apply a permission set to an Add-On Instruction:
- In theController Organizer, expand theAssetsfolder, right-click the Add-On Instruction, and selectProperties.
- In the Add-On InstructionPropertiesdialog box, in thePermission Setcontrol, select a permission set to apply.
- SelectOK.
