Apply a permission set to an Add-On Instruction

Apply a permission set to control access to an Add-On Instruction.
The security settings that you apply override and operate instead of any security policy applied to the overall project. Permission sets are maintained using the
FactoryTalk Administration Console
.
TIP:
To apply a permission set to a component, users must have Component: Modify Permission Set privileges, which are configured in
FactoryTalk Security
.
To apply a permission set to an Add-On Instruction:
  1. In the
    Controller Organizer
    , expand the
    Assets
     folder, right-click the Add-On Instruction, and select
    Properties
    .
  2. In the Add-On Instruction
    Properties
    dialog box, in the
    Permission Set
     control, select a permission set to apply.
  3. Select
    OK
    .
